Josef Brumberg brass piano lamp 1950s

The curved brass arm of this piano lamp rises from the low, oval base up to the wide shade. The shade has a rounded shape and tapers at the front. The proportions are compact, while the arm positions the shade above the surface. The arm is hinged to the base and the shade can also be tilted. This way, the light is directed onto a score, desk or worktop. The switch is located on the cord. The lamp was manufactured by the German Josef Brumberg for JBS and dates from the 1950s. There are small dark spots and signs of use on the brass, which are appropriate for the age of the lamp.
