Paquebot office chair in solid teak and caning

Superb marine/liner style office chair, with clean lines inspired by Art Deco. This is a family piece that belonged to a sub-lieutenant of the French Navy, ensuring its authenticity and quality of craftsmanship. Made entirely of solid teak, featuring a beautiful natural amber patina. The enveloping half-moon backrest offers excellent comfort. The rattan caning is original, perfectly taut, and in excellent condition. Typical "luxury cabin" design from the 1930s-40s, combining the robustness of marine furniture with the elegance of 20th-century design. I am also selling the matching marine chest of drawers.
