Period piece, barber or hairdresser chair. The backrest can be adjusted manually using a metal slide and an original brass tightening button. Structure made of solid beech or fruitwood with a beautiful golden patina. The armrests are elegantly shaped like a crook, and the front legs are "cabriole" (curved). The backrest and seat are made of woven rattan cane, providing lightness and comfort. Although its primary function is related to shaving, it can also be used as a characterful office chair or a reclining reading chair. General condition: Good state of preservation for an antique workpiece. The structure is stable. The caning of the seat and backrest is in very good condition, well tensioned and without breaks. The reclining mechanism works perfectly, and the metal and brass elements are original. Wood structure: The wood shows natural signs of use that contribute to its patina. Note a slight natural structural separation visible at the junction of the front crossbar and the left armrest post (see detail photo). This separation has no impact on the overall stability or functionality of the chair.
