A beautiful set of 2 handcrafted armchairs combining solid oak frames with finely woven rattan seats and backs. These chairs were custom made in France during the 1940s and feature a refined yet rustic design typical of high-quality French artisanal furniture from the period. The structure is made from solid dark-stained oak with elegantly sculpted armrests and strong architectural lines. The woven rattan seats and backrests add warmth, texture and comfort while creating a beautiful contrast with the darker oak frame. The proportions are generous and comfortable, making them perfect both as dining armchairs or as occasional seating in a living room, study or covered terrace. The design balances rustic craftsmanship with understated elegance, making these chairs extremely versatile. They fit effortlessly into country houses, Mediterranean interiors, wabi-sabi spaces or modern interiors that combine natural materials with clean architecture. Dimensions: approximately 82 cm high X 58 cm wide X 60 cm deep; seat height approximately 43 cm. Price is for a pair. Two pairs available. Condition: Very good vintage condition with light patina to the oak and beautifully preserved rattan weave; structurally strong and comfortable.
