Mid-century space age cantilever chair by Richard Young for Merrow Associates, 1960s.

Vintage design. Minimalist chaise with a distinctive cantilever by Merrow Associates based on a creation by Richard Young from the 1960s. The projection of the seat shell is particularly remarkable. The frame easily captures these aspects. The frame is particularly narrow and is barely visible from the front. This is supported by the chrome surface that reflects the surroundings. The previous owner purchased several of these chairs from Lauritz in Denmark a long time ago. The original colour of the upholstery was purple. The chair has since been professionally reupholstered with a coarse grey fabric. The chair is in very good condition and shows hardly any signs of wear.
