The Holy Family, ancient oil painting on panel, 16th-17th century.

Oil on panel. The scene depicts the Holy Family, probably during the flight into Egypt, in a moment of rest during the journey; indeed, in addition to the figures of the family, an angel appears below, identifiable by its sketched wings, offering a plate of food, from which Joseph has already taken some cherries, as recounted in the apocryphal versions of the gospels. The panel has a few small woodworm holes. It is presented in a frame from the early 1900s.
