Here is the third chair known as the magistrate's chair, recovered from the state collections (which regularly parts with some of its unused furniture). This one offers the same quality of craftsmanship, highlighted by a discreet stamp: a star at the bottom of the backrest (just above the first inventory number: 33 44, then 55 86), which I have not been able to identify. However, it is known that the state employed the best cabinetmakers for its furnishings. It pairs wonderfully with the other chairs from the same lot currently for sale, but all are slightly different. Here, the armrests are more substantial, continuing with the backrest even though they also end in sculpted volutes at the seat level. One also notices the superb work on the front turned legs - the back ones are again sabre-shaped. The leather seat is studded, in superb condition, although there is a small surface mark left by the foot of another piece of furniture during storage (which should fade almost completely over time). It is as beautiful in profile as it is from the back or front. The seat has been recently redone, with straps and horsehair. It is therefore very comfortable as well. H: 74 cm. W: 60 cm. D: 50 cm. The price is firm, thank you. Delivery in the Île-de-France region is possible for 40 euros.
