Rare Herman Miller edition bookcase by designer George Nelson from the 1960s. This is an authentic Herman Miller edition (not to be confused with the International Furniture version). The Herman Miller manufacturer's badge is still present. This ingenious system (css = comprehensive storage system) allows you to place these elements wherever you want on the metal uprights to create a composition tailored to your needs. You can see one possibility here in the photo as an example. This set consists of: 2 modules with doors and interior shelves. 1 module with 3 small drawers and 1 large, deep drawer. 1 file storage module with dividers. 1 lectern for displaying books, photos, etc. on an inclined surface. 7 storage and display shelves. The 5 metal uprights are equipped with pegs that can be fixed at the desired height to accommodate shelves or storage units. The uprights measure 250 cm and can be extended up to 270 cm. All elements can be attached to the front or back of the uprights, depending on individual needs. This bookcase is a real asset for those who want to combine Practical storage with aesthetic appeal. The set is made of rosewood veneer. This is the most sought-after version on the market, with its black uprights. Condition Report: I've posted a large number of photos that allow you to get a clear impression of its condition. This set is in good to very good condition, with no breakage, no missing parts in the frames, and the assembly elements are complete. However, this bookcase is not new; it's vintage, so it contains slight scratches and surface abrasions in some areas. These slight defects are the remnants of its use. They are shallow and barely visible to the naked eye, which gives the piece its overall charm and the beautiful patina of the wood. An iconic designer piece that's rare on the market.
