Small library from the Empire period, 19th century. Elegant small library/display cabinet in solid cherry wood, opening at the front with two glazed doors featuring moulded frames. The upper part has a slightly overhanging straight pediment, adorned on the front with a fine applied decoration in gilded bronze with a floral motif, adding a refined touch to the whole. The doors are decorated with handles and lock entries in gilded bronze, featuring stylised palmette designs characteristic of the Empire style. The interior, fitted with shelves, offers an ideal space to display books, art objects, or collections. The lower part of the doors consists of moulded solid panels. The front legs are detached columns and are finished with decorative bronze rings, typically in the aesthetic of Empire furniture. Beautiful warm patina, achieved with beeswax. The interiors are glazed.
