Onyx mosaic candlestick

A vintage candle holder made of polished onyx mosaic, assembled from carefully fitted segments of translucent stone in soft tones of gray, blue, cream, honey, and rust. A wide shallow bowl catches the drips while a sculpted, curved stem holds a classic taper candle. The natural bands of the onyx shine beautifully in the light, making it a decorative object in its own right on a table, mantel, or shelf. In good vintage condition. A few small chips on the edge of the candle cup and on the ridge of the upper neck, as well as slight natural inclusions and marks in the stone. The joints between the segments are intact.
