Onyx candlestick trio — circa 1970. Set of three veined onyx candlesticks with organic and sculptural lines. Carved and polished from the stone, the three pieces showcase unique silhouettes, characterised by a succession of rounded volumes and more elongated lines. The material reveals a particularly nuanced mineral palette, ranging from cream to honey, accented with smoky grey and fine brown veins. The natural stratifications of the onyx create a unique pattern on each piece, highlighted by the polish that adds depth and a slight translucency to the stone. Presented as a trio, the different volumes and heights form a graphic and balanced composition, characteristic of the 1970s taste for mineral materials and organic shapes. Polished natural onyx.
