This antique Spanish chest from the 18th century is made of softwood and has a beautifully aged patina, with characteristic signs of use that underline its authentic character. The richly decorated front panel is deeply carved and adorned with so-called compass roses, motifs often used in folk art as symbols for protection against evil influences. The chest has been carefully checked, with old, sporadic traces of woodworm treated. Finished with a natural layer of beeswax, preserving the aged character and beautiful patina.
