This desk-dressing table comes from the prestigious Lacoste estate, along with half a dozen other pieces of furniture that I am selling at the same time. This couple of intellectuals furnished their home at La Boutique Danois (Avenue de Friedland, on the Champs Elysées) in the 1960s with exceptional Scandinavian furniture in which they lived their entire lives. More details on my blog: Lacoste estate. Rare model, attributed to the house SOBORG MOBLER but without a label, it was purchased at the same time as the other furniture from the estate. At first glance, its slightly rounded lines, structural lightness, and presence strike you immediately. Resting on four legs with circular stretchers that rise to secure the top, this desk features a thick top made of warm wood that lifts in the centre to reveal a period mirror on the back of the top, along with several storage compartments. The mirror fixings, those of the legs, everything is original and in excellent condition. The reflection of the glass is impeccable. This dressing table was located in the bedroom and was used regularly; there are signs of wear in the bottom of the storage compartments, with some wear here and there, but once again, it remains in very good condition. A rare piece of stunning beauty. Light, unobtrusive, functional, and aesthetic, it is perfect for a remote working space, for example. L: 100 cm. D: 45 cm. H: 77 cm. Seat height: 62 cm. My prices are firm, thank you. Delivery possible in the Île-de-France for 40 euros.
