Spanish ‘cobra’ desk lamp designed by luis pérez de la oliva for spanish lighting company lupela madrid, 1970s. The name lupela stands for luis pérez de la oliva. He was the founder of lupela and was also a designer at fase, where he designed most design classics. That explains the resemblance of the lupela and fase lamps. The typical space/ufo shape of this lamp can also be seen in the spaceships of the ‘star trek’ series. The condition is still very good with slight signs of use. The shade still has the original glass diffuser, which provides a soft and beautiful light distribution. There is an on/off switch on the base. The wiring has been checked by an electrician. Material: metal, cast iron, aluminium and glass. Dimensions: h X w X d = 44 X 52 X 32 cm. Colour: black and grey. There are two e27 fittings in the lamp.
