Beautiful carpet kerman raver (wash) tree of life late 19th. Around 1880. Velvet in lamb's wool called "kork" (the best) on cotton foundations. Blue field, decorated with tree of life in symmetries with suspended birds framing a cup of floral arrangement. Double ruby spandrels with multicolored floral strands. Scenery of earthly paradise, flowering trees of life, deer, birds and parrots stylized in polychromy. Remarkable finesse, very beautiful palette of colors, a carpet that like silk carpets, deserves its place on the wall, like a painting. Dimensions: 220x130 cm. Condition: general wear, some areas of more intense wear on the main edge at the top of the carpet on 50cm (up to the level of the first bird in the center of the carpet, at this level there is no more wool so the color is less intense on these 50cm of the upper part). This difference is only slightly visible when you look at the entire carpet. On all the rest of the carpet, low but soft wool. Shortened fringes.
