Complete set of four official archival pigment prints published in 1973 by ATHENA REPRODUCTIONS LTD., London, under official licence of the original works. Thanks to this direct licensing, the set offers absolute colour fidelity to the authentic works of the Art Nouveau master, Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939). Currently, this is the only complete set of this series available in the international market, as gathering the complete series has become extraordinarily difficult today. The set includes the four masterpieces of the series with their official titles: 1. The Moon (La Lune) 2. The Evening Star (L'Etoile du Soir) 3. The Morning Star (L'Etoile du Matin) 4. The North Star (L'Étoile Polaire) These pieces belong to the first numbered edition, carry the original catalogue numbering 30/6319, and were printed in England on high-quality satin paper, preserving the original inscription in the lower margin: "© ATHENA REPRODUCTIONS LTD LONDON 1973 • ALPHONSE MUCHA • PRINTED IN ENGLAND". Directly from the publisher's workshop, they are part of a preserved lot that maintains its spectacular original satin sheen and the exact vibrancy of its official colours. The prints are in perfect archival condition, having never been hung, framed, or exposed to light. Only the panel of "The Evening Star" (L'Étoile du Soir) shows slightly more worn corners due to the natural storage of period paper. This detail is purely peripheral and does not affect its value at all, as the main illustration is intact and the edges remain 100% hidden once framed. The set faithfully reproduces the famous series created by Mucha in 1902, dedicated to celestial symbolism and considered one of his most refined compositions. Each female figure represents an allegory of light and the nocturnal time.
