Cup accompanied by its saucer in earthenware by Paul Fouillen from Quimper, both signed underneath. A particularly graphic set, entirely hand-decorated: large pink swirls punctuated with black, yellow-orange and brown solar motifs, geometric friezes, and bold black areas. The small angular handle, treated in brown and black, gives the cup an immediately recognisable silhouette. The saucer echoes the cup's palette in a more subdued composition of concentric black, brown, and pink circles, highlighted by a fine checked frieze. Both pieces bear the signature P. Fouillen – Quimper underneath, accompanied by the monogram and the number 6. Paul Fouillen, an important figure in 20th-century Quimper ceramics, is distinguished by the freedom of his compositions, his stylised motifs, and his very personal use of colour. Overall, in beautiful vintage condition. Some light signs of use and small irregularities typical of old hand-decorated ceramics; cracks and fine marks visible inside the cup (see photos). Cup: height 6 cm – diameter at widest point 9 cm – length with handle 12 cm. Saucer: diameter 17 cm. All the graphic boldness of Paul Fouillen.
