Stencil gouache by leon haffner representing a regatta boat

This stencil gouache was made by léon haffner with a beautiful technique, a classic of the artist. You will notice that léon haffner signs with a marine anchor, it is a distinctive sign of marine painters. Léon haffner (1881-1972) was appointed official painter of the navy in 1918.
