An antique plaster bust representing a middle-aged man, with a realistic and expressive modelling. The finely crafted face reveals great attention to the features, gaze, and volumes, characteristic of academic sculpture from the late 19th to early 20th century. This work is made from original workshop plaster, hand-carved, with an old brown patina applied after modelling. There is a partially incised signature on the side, indicating it is the work of an artist rather than an industrial production. The piece shows signs of age (small chips and wear to the patina), which contribute to its authenticity and charm. It has a very beautiful decorative presence, ideal for a characterful interior, a library... Dimensions: Width: 33 cm. Depth: 30 cm. Height: 40 cm.
