The composition is dominated by a deep, saturated cobalt blue, serving both as a background and a wide ornamental border. The edge is adorned with repetitive gold patterns in an Art Deco style, while the central scene, inspired by Aladdin's adventures from the "Tales of the Thousand and One Nights, " is rendered in Wiinblad's characteristic dreamlike style: expressive silhouette, fluid lines, and bright, contrasting colours (gold, yellow, orange, red, lavender, mint green, pastel blue, white). The gold accents have a shiny, reflective texture that contrasts with the satin and matte parts of the painting.
