Collection plate Rosenthal "Aladdin" no. I, decorative porcelain object from the 1980s, designed by Danish artist Björn Wiinblad. Made from high-quality porcelain, its surface is adorned with an intense and multicoloured illustration – a dynamic scene of "Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp", the first motif in a series inspired by "The Tales of the Thousand and One Nights". The dominant background is a deep cobalt blue, upon which a colourful composition unfolds in shades of yellow, red, green, blue, and orange. The edge of the plate is decorated with an irregular gold pattern, highlighting the decorative nature of the piece. On the reverse, the signature "Rosenthal studio-line" appears along with information about the series and the number of the piece. Diameter of the plate: 16.5 cm. Very good condition – smooth, shiny surface, with no visible signs of wear or damage. This plate evokes the fairy-tale spirit of the 1980s, when European porcelain manufacturers willingly drew inspiration from Eastern themes, blending craftsmanship and fantasy. Björn Wiinblad, known for his illustrative and narrative style, infuses this project with echoes of mid-century modern and ethnic motifs – the story of Aladdin here takes on colour and lightness. The golden accents and bright colours seem to tell a fragment of a child's dream: a world encased in shining porcelain, ready to come to life. Every detail invites closer inspection, as if the plate were an invitation to a brief journey into imagination and design. This plate can be displayed on a transparent stand in the living room, on a shelf with a collection of vintage ceramics, or on the wall, among other decorative plates of various sizes and patterns. It fits perfectly into eclectic arrangements, alongside Murano glass, mid-century lamps, or textiles with Eastern motifs. Paired with modern graphics or minimalist ceramics, the plate will highlight its colourful narrative and become a collection accent in the space.
