Mid-Century Minimalist Tripod Floor Lamp, 1960s

Elegant minimalist floor lamp from the 1960s with two lampshades. A reserved and detailed design. The materiality and colouring are striking here. The base catches the eye. It has a star shape and is covered in a white structural lacquer. Thin brass rods extend from the centre of the base, with two simple lampshades sitting at the upper ends. The symmetry of the fixture is disrupted by the different dimensions of the lampshades. The two lampshades are simple cylinders of varying diameters and heights. One lampshade is closed with a top to ensure light diffusion. The lampshades are secured with disc-shaped brass screws. Each lampshade has a push switch. This way, the lampshades can be turned on independently of each other. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. The lampshade covers have been professionally renovated.
