Louis XV console

Louis XV console, 18th century. Painted wood, original stabilized paint. Ornamentation, curvature of the legs typical of furniture of this period. Upper shelf in porphyry (very prestigious rock used since antiquity, in sculpture, for the sarcophagi of emperors...) 1 drawer under the shelf. (note the 2 holes on the front of the drawer in which 2 handles were fixed for opening it, this is a later element. These holes can be hidden or left as is if we consider that they are also part of the history of this console now, and that certain periods have sometimes been conducive to restorations or modifications often unfortunate!
