Ceramic studio Louise Gardelle

Terracotta bowl in the style of the Landes artist of Swedish origin, Louise Gardelle (born in 1944). The piece is unsigned but stylistically consistent with the artist's work. This bowl is distinguished by its decoration of two female figures in relief, an emblematic motif of her work, characterised by expressive female representations and a strong pictorial presence. Made of terracotta, it features an elegant contrast between glazed areas and raw parts, highlighting the natural materiality of the clay as well as the modelling work and the entirely hand-painted decoration in a palette of vibrant colours.
