Beautiful octagonal solitaire board made of natural malachite stone and bakelite or other artificial material in beige, with brass trim. Complete with malachite pieces/marbles. Handcrafted in Africa, probably Congo, vintage 1950s-60s. 27x27cm, 1.5cm high. Good used condition; the beige material shows some wear, including a small hole in the bottom of one square. Invisible when the pieces are in place. A few other discreet/very discreet signs of wear on the stone. Approximately 1.5kg.
