Piet Hein & Bruno Mathsson Superellipse dining table, 1970s, Fritz Hansen

Superellipse dining table designed by Piet Hein and Bruno Mathsson for Fritz Hansen, produced in the 1970s. This version features a dark-stained wood veneer top with the signature rounded rectangular 'superellipse' shape — a form developed by Hein for optimal visual and functional balance. Supported by the classic span-leg base in chrome-plated steel, the table combines Scandinavian minimalism with a mathematically inspired design. Clean lines, generous proportions, and a durable construction make it suitable for both dining and workspace settings. Pictures with chairs show the table in an example setting with a set of Arne Jacobsen chairs. These are NOT included but are available separately. In good vintage condition with light signs of wear appropriate to age. Some scratches on the table top.
