Table "Super Ellipse" designed by Piet Hein, Bruno Mathsson, and Arne Jacobsen in 1968, published by Fritz Hansen/Denmark. It consists of a white laminate top, surrounded by an aluminium band around the entire perimeter, and four removable chrome steel legs. The legs attach simply to the plates located under the top by stretching them, and the tension of the steel then secures them to the plate. The same applies for removal without any tools. In just a few seconds, this table can be stored flat against a wall or moved easily! (Signs of use on the top) Piet Hein (1905-1996) was a Danish scientist, mathematician, inventor, artist, designer, philosopher, and poet. After the war, Hein invented the superellipse, an advanced geometric figure combining the ellipse and the rectangle, which he derived from mathematics. 180x120cm H: 72cm.
