Large Vallauris ceramic with handles, enamel "lava" decoration, 1960s–70s.

Beautiful vintage piece with a sculptural design, characteristic of Vallauris productions with its thick, textured enamel work, known as "fat lava, " which is highly sought after today for its raw and organic appearance. The contrast between the deep brown base and the raised beige drips creates a strong visual effect, almost mineral-like. The thick handles and the tapered neck shape enhance its decorative character. Signed "Vallauris" underneath the base, both handwritten and stamped into the material. This is a typical production from the Vallauris workshops, a major centre of French ceramics in the mid-20th century.
