Large handled vase in glazed stoneware – Les Potiers d'Accolay – 1950s-1960s. Important glazed stoneware vase from Les Potiers d'Accolay, an iconic manufacturer of post-war French ceramics. This model is distinguished by its elegant globular body resting on a small base, its long flared neck rhythmically adorned with mouldings, and its two large side handles, inspired by antique forms reinterpreted by 1950s design. It is covered in a superb brown-gold glaze with caramel and amber reflections, characteristic of Accolay's productions from this period. The quality of the glaze and the generous proportions give it a strong decorative presence. The original label "Les Potiers d'Accolay – Made in France" is still present on the neck. The underside bears an old collection inscription. A very beautiful decorative object that can hold large floral arrangements or be displayed alone. Condition: Very good overall condition. A few very light signs of use and tiny pinpoint glaze chips visible on the neck, without affecting the aesthetics. No cracks or restorations. Dimensions: Height: 45 cm. Maximum diameter: 28 cm. Period: Circa 1955-1965. A large decorative piece representative of the production of Les Potiers d'Accolay, sought after for the quality of its design and glaze.
