Fossil marble ashtray catchall

Pocket tray / artisanal ashtray carved directly from a block of black marble limestone, it showcases stunning fossils of Orthoceras (extinct marine cephalopods) that are nearly 400 million years old. Thanks to its excellent polishing, the striking contrast between the intense black matrix and the white/gray patterns of the crystallized chambers of the fossils makes it a true collector's piece. Its beveled and hollow shape makes it both a functional and highly decorative object. Ideal on an entry console, a desk for placing keys, coins, jewelry, or as a chic soap dish. In very good condition for its age (Orthoceras lived during the Paleozoic era, about 470 million years ago). This object is handcrafted, polished on the front, and retains its raw side on the back. Weight 0.815g.
