Mid-Century Ceramic Bowl by Gerhard Liebenthron, 1970s

Gerhard Liebenthron studio ceramic dish or ashtray. Gerhard Liebenthron was born in 1925 in Neustrelitz. He studied at the North German Art School in Bremen between 1948 and 1951. From 1952, he operated his own workshop in Bremen and participated in numerous national and international exhibitions since 1955. Liebenthron passed away in Bremen in 2005. This piece, created between 1970 and 1979 in Germany, is attributed to Gerhard Liebenthron and reflects a Vintage, Mid-Century style. It is in very good condition, showing patina consistent with age and use, but has no defects. The dish is made of ceramic, measures 7 cm in height, 6.5 cm in diameter, and has a brown colour.
