Swedish Leather Skye Lounge Chair by Tord Björklund for Ikea, 1970s

Early ‘skye’ lounge chair, designed by tord björklund for ikea sweden in the 1970s. Rare find with the stainless steel tubular legs. The chair is truly fantastic and extremely comfortable to lie/sit in. This chair features a leather cushion on a black canvas supported by a stainless steel tubular metal base. The leather is in excellent condition and shows a great patina, has been cleaned and newly waxed. Overall very good condition, small restoration on the back of the canvas cushion ( see detailed picture).
