LC4 chaise longue in cowhide and black frame by Cassina, 1970–80

Authentic LC4 chaise longue edited by Cassina in Italy, based on the famous model designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand. This version combines a black tubular metal frame with a natural cowhide mattress in beautiful reddish-brown tones, complemented by a cylindrical black leather headrest. The mattress has been restored with new foam and new leather piping, while retaining the look and character of the hide. The black base shows a lovely patina from use and some signs of age. Overall vintage condition is good. Cassina markings are present on the frame, model LC4 numbered 26913. A particularly warm version of this great icon of modernist design.
