Price for lamp including shade. This extraordinary accent lamp combines an expressively glazed ceramic vase with a large lampshade made of Japanese cotton. The origin of the vase is unknown, but stylistically it strongly resembles the experimental studio ceramics of the 1960s/70s. Particularly striking are the four ring-shaped handles and the heavily textured lava glaze in the middle section, reminiscent of cooled rock or organic tree bark. The vase features intense red, copper, and dark lava nuances, developing an enormous depth depending on the incidence of light. Combined with the opulent shade, it creates an almost theatrical effect. The high-quality Japanese cotton fabric displays traditional dragon and cloud motifs in various shades of red and gold. When illuminated, the fabric produces a warm, very atmospheric light image with exceptional presence. Dimensions: – Total height of the lamp: 60 cm. – Vase: 30 cm high. – Lampshade: 30 × 30 cm. Conversion to lamp. The vase has been converted into a lamp and fitted with a black E27 socket. The cable runs directly into the socket, emphasising the rather raw, studio ceramic character of the object. The combination of textured ceramic, visible technology, and the intricately detailed fabric shade creates a very distinctive, sculptural effect. Technology. The lamp features a classic E27 socket and can be operated with commercially available LED light sources. Due to the large shade, it is particularly well-suited as an atmospheric table or sideboard lamp with a warm light effect. A characterful unique piece between Fat Lava, Asian-inspired ornamentation, and sculptural object art – with exceptional presence by day and night.
