Imposing hand-shaped stoneware pitcher with a ribbed belly and an irregular polygonal base. It is covered with a flowing glaze in deep shades: moss green, tobacco brown and mineral blue, with very organic material effects. Signed "33" under the base, probably a French workshop work dating from the 1970s, in the tradition of contemporary art potters influenced by Art Nouveau and high-fire glazes. Strong decorative object, to be diverted into a raw vase or to be integrated into a collection of French stoneware. Condition: Excellent, no chips. Some glaze irregularities typical of artisanal work. Dimensions: Height: 17.5 cm. Length (with handle): 18.5 cm. Width: 12 cm. Weight: 825 g.
