Pichet Alphonse Mouton (Alpho), model 171

Small jug with facets in glazed ceramic, made by the potter Alphonse Mouton (known as "Alpho") in Saint-Vallier (Drôme). This faceted model, characteristic of the geometric Art Deco repertoire from the 1930s/1940s, is distinguished by its flamed glazing in deep cobalt blue and sandy beige tones. The piece is numbered "171" impressed under its base. Height 13 cm, length including handle 14 cm, diameter at widest point 10.5 cm. In beautiful vintage condition, shiny (see photos).
