Pitcher or jug by Alexandre Kostanda in association with Louis Giraud, in enameled stoneware with a decoration of blue-gray clouds, the handle has four heart-shaped sculptures. Alexandre Kostanda's technique is to mix the earth from the two regions, Cluny and Vallauris, to create stoneware, which will be coated with a vitrifiable set. The pale color tones will evolve towards more vivid colors. Like Roger Capron, Alexandre Kostanda is very active in Vallauris to defend and promote ceramic art. Alexandre Kostanda exhibited and exported his works to the United States between 1950 and 1960.
