Purple Seks-Tre pendant lamp by Ole Panton for Lyfa, 1960s

Special and exclusive geometric pendant lamp designed by Ole Panton for Lyfa. This original purple lacquered lamp was designed by Ole, the younger brother of the well-known Verner Panton. As an architect, he mainly designed for children, such as a playground for children in a psychiatric institution or a children's theatre. For that theatre, Det Lille Teater, Ole Panton, together with Louis Weisdorf, designed two lamps that were briefly produced by Lyfa. One of these two lamps is the Seks-tre, translated: Six-Three lamp, which most likely refers to the geometric design in which a hexagon is used three times. In the 1960s, just like his brother's designs, it was very innovative. The limited production makes this lamp a rare appearance. The lamp is 25cm high and has a diameter of 22cm. Condition: Due to the rarity of the lamp, we have kept it as original as possible. The lamp shows signs of use, such as light rust. See photos. The lamp is equipped with a new and safe lamp cord. The electrics have been checked by a professional and work properly.
