Friso Kramer Pair of Early Revolt Armchairs for Ahrend de Cirkel 1953

Very nice pair of revolt armchairs, designed by friso kramer in 1953 for ahrend de cirkel. These chairs come from the first production series that started in 1958. They have a u-profile steel frame and a ciranol seat, back- and armrest. One is in full black, which was friso kramer's intentional idea (=to make them in 1 colour) and the other has a black frame and the very rare pale yellow seat and back. Together they make a lovely combination. Classic dutch industrial design. The chairs are in very good original condition. Just a little loss of colour on the seats, giving them the perfect patine.
