Large “cylinda-line” ashtray in brass. Iconic creation by danish designer arne jacobsen for stelton brassware. This is the large version or cigar ashtray, and is the rarest of the two existing sizes (diameter 10 cm). Brassware products were only produced in limited quantities between 1965 and 1967 due to the challenges of working with brass in the stelton factory which was equipped for stainless steel. Additionally, the properties of brass, which are very different from those of stainless steel, led to many cracks, meaning that the already limited production was further reduced. The ashtray is in very good condition and has a beautiful patina.
