Bouillotte Table Louis XVI - Late 19th Century

Beautiful bouillotte table from the late 18th century, Louis XVI style, made of solid mahogany. What makes it exceptional: Top in veined pink Breccia marble, framed by an openwork brass gallery. Drawer adorned with Versailles parquet marquetry (diamonds and flowers) in violet wood and rosewood — handcrafted by a cabinetmaker. Saber legs with gilt bronze ormolu mounts, featuring female figures — typical of the Parisian manufacture of the time. Solid mahogany, original patina preserved. Careful renovation: cleaning, rejuvenation of the wood, bronzes revived without stripping to maintain the patina. A character piece, ideal for a living room, bedroom, or entrance.
