Free-form crystal bowl with fine gold gilding – Vintage 1950s/1960s

Large decorative bowl (or catch-all) made of mouth-blown crystal, typical of Mid-Century design from the 1950s-1960s. Its freeform asymmetrical shape and flame or crown-shaped stretched edges recall the prestigious productions of the Bayel Glassworks or Cofrac Art Verrier. The purity of the crystal offers stunning light play and brilliant refraction. The upper edges are enhanced with a shiny gilding. General condition: Very good condition. The crystal is perfectly clear, sound, and shiny. There are no cracks or chips in the glass structure, but it may show fine scratches. Patina of use: Note some slight and discreet losses of gilding at the tips of certain points (see photos), which are quite normal and consistent with the age and use of this authentic vintage piece. Style: Ideal for retro, chic, Hollywood Regency, or vintage modernist decor.
