A striking biomorphic art glass piece, capturing the fluid and asymmetrical movement of a seashell. Representative of the European Mid-Century Modern movement, this work is part of the great tradition of master glassmakers from Bohemia and Italy. Technical virtuosity: The architecture of this bowl showcases an exceptionally high level of craftsmanship. The glass was first worked in an optical mould to create a deep star-shaped ribbed pattern, before being reworked and stretched hot, entirely freehand. The result is a massive and luxurious blank. Irrefutable proof of its status as a prestigious handcrafted piece, the base is partially ground and polished flat. The magic of Ouraline (Vaseline Glass): Beyond its sculptural line, the value of this piece lies in its fascinating chemical composition. Enriched with uranium oxide, the crystal displays a superb crystalline hue with subtle reflections in daylight. When exposed to ultraviolet light (black light), the glass ignites and reveals a neon green fluorescence of exceptional spectral intensity. Technical characteristics: Dimensions: Height 8 cm|Length 21 cm|Width 11 cm. Weight: 855 g (testifying to the density and quality of the material). Condition: Perfect state of conservation. No chips, cracks, or nicks on the scalloped edge. The brilliance of the crystal is absolute, with only minor usage scratches under the base. Shipping and premium protection.
