Vintage 1960s/70s West German "Fat Lava" Pottery Floor Lamp. ​ A stunning example of Mid-Century Modern design, this extra-tall floor lamp features a vibrant ceramic "Fat Lava" base and its original textured fabric tower shade. The base boasts a dramatic volcanic glaze with earthy browns and striking pops of orange in a vertical "bark" or drip pattern—typical of high-quality West German Pottery from makers like Scheurich, Bay, or Dumler & Breiden. ​The oversized cylindrical shade is made of a coarse-weave linen/burlap material in a warm cream tone, accented with a decorative floral embroidered band.
