Barrel Chairs Pierre Guariche ARP Steiner x4

Set of 4 Vintage Steiner Barrel Chairs, Original Edition. One of the four chairs is stamped Steiner, all from the same manufacturer. In good overall condition and sold with the original boxes and foam inserts for making slipcovers. Created in 1954 by Pierre Guariche for Steiner, the Barrel Chair is very comfortable thanks to its flexible, round, and sensual molded plywood shell. Its slender black tubular metal legs give it a modern and elegant aesthetic. This innovative chair was the first French plywood chair to be mass-produced. Its seat is formed by bending a single piece of molded plywood, the ends of which are joined by visible screws at the seat.
