The home office wall unit, designed by Poul Cadovius for Cado in the 1960s represents Danish quality and Scandinavian minimalism. The rare addition is a black portable lamp. Masterful joinery is showcased in the construction of cabinets and dovetailing of the drawer fronts, a demanding and increasingly rare technique in modern furniture making. The nicely integrated, nearly invisible handles sculpted in solid wood, along with the sleek, frame-like profile surrounding the drawers, are characteristic of Cadovius’ designs. The variety of components offers a versatile mix of display and storage options. Adjustable shelves allow for the display of personal items or art, regardless of size. It is perfect for creating a home office space. If you lack room in your living area, studio, or bedroom, adding a floating desk with a functional attachable lamp is an ideal solution. Its modularity allows for flexible configuration. The arrangement of the shelves, dresser or a desk can be easily changed. The assembly system is simple and intuitive, with components mounted on solid wood rails using brass hangers and metal pins. The set includes: dresser: H: 51 / W: 80 / D: 40 cm (internal height of the drawers, starting from the top: 7 cm, 7 cm, 11 cm, 14 cm) desk: H: 9 / W: 80 / D: 40 cm (internal height of drawers: 5 cm) 4 shelves: W: 80 / D: 24 cm 2 shelves: W: 80 / D: 20 cm 3 teak montage rails, each 200 cm long portable lamp - requires 2 E14 bulbs, cord -200 cm brass hangers Despite the passage of nearly six decades, this piece remains in perfect original condition. The drawers are clean and operate smoothly, and the wood has been treated with professional compounds to enhance its natural beauty. The engraving “Made in Denmark” located on the back of the dresser confirms the authenticity of the furniture’s origin.
