Preben Sorensen PS System home office wall unit in teak, 1960s

A very functional vintage home office wall unit by preben sorensen was manufactured by ps system in the 1960s, which is validated by the original label preserved. This shelving unit provides enough storage space for a large collection of books, photos, decorations, or plants by shelves and a spacious vitrine, while the compact desk creates a perfect space for a home office. The desk shelf can be also placed lower as a large shelf (45 cm deep) for bigger decorative objects or appliances. This piece of furniture will elegantly fill an entire wall, offering ample storage space. Veneered in teak, a material highly valued in danish mid century modern furniture for its wear-resistant properties and warm color, will add a danish style to any interior. This shelving system is fully modular, offering a variety of configurations to suit your needs. The setup in the pictures is just an example. The assembly system is simple and intuitive, with shelves and cabinets mounted on solid wood rails using brass hangers. The system consists: 1 cabinets: h: 51/ w: 80 / d: 20 cm. 6 shelves: w: 80 / d: 24 cm. 1 desk -shelf w: 80/ d: 45 cm. 3 wooden rails, each 200 cm long. The unit is after a full renovation. All the wood has been sanded down, coated with stain applied for a uniform look, and finished with layers of danish oil. If necessary, a damaged veneer is replaced to enhance the appearance. The original manufacturer’s label is preserved. Overall, it is in excellent, almost like new condition.
