From 1930 he became artistic director of the aluminia fiance factory and from 1949 he was artistic supervisor of the stoneware department of the royal copenhagen porcelain factory. Thorsson's works are represented at the Copenhagen Museum of Fine Arts, the Royal Institute of Technology, the Museum of Porcelain Manufactory, the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, the National Museum, Stockholm, and the Faenza Ceramics Museum.
