Elegant teak secretary produced by the Scottish manufacturer Morris of Glasgow in the 1960s (see photo of the original label on the back). This model is appealing due to its clean lines, balanced proportions, and design inspired by Scandinavian aesthetics. Its façade is accentuated by delicate moulded bands that give it a graphic silhouette. The drop-down front opens to reveal a workspace composed of several storage compartments, ideal for accommodating a laptop, documents, or writing materials. A large drawer and a low cabinet with two doors complete the ensemble. Compact and functional, this secretary will find its place in a living room, bedroom, or office, offering a genuine workspace that disappears once closed. Founded in 1884 by Harris Morris, Morris of Glasgow is one of the major British furniture manufacturers of the 20th century. The company notably produced furniture for ocean liners, British embassies, and the royal family. Materials: Teak veneer. Wood structure. Original hardware. Dimensions: Height: 107 cm. Width: 76 cm. Depth (bottom): 40 cm. Depth (top): 26 cm. Depth (open): 70 cm. Work surface: L 73 × H 71.5 cm. Interior height: 27 cm (laptop) Low cabinet: L 72 × H 32 cm. Condition: Good vintage condition with a lovely patina. Some light signs of use consistent with its age, without affecting its functionality. The openings, drawer, and drop-down front work perfectly.
