A striking pair of Art Deco armchairs produced in Czechoslovakia in 1930s, expertly and completely restored. The chairs feature a solid walnut construction with sculptural armrests and spring-supported seats and backrests, offering both strength and exceptional comfort. The restoration includes refinished wood, reinforced construction, and new upholstery in a refined cream fabric, beautifully complementing the warmth and character of the walnut. A distinctive original detail—the decorative brass studs outlining the chairs—has been carefully preserved using new brass components, maintaining the original design while ensuring a clean finish. The walnut displays a rich, expressive grain with naturally dark veining throughout, highlighting the beauty of the material. One chair shows a small, original ink mark on the right armrest, subtly visible in close inspection and documented in photographs—an authentic trace of the chairs’ history. A beautiful and timeless set, ready to be enjoyed. Seat height 40cm.
